Bits'n'Bobs

Nothing much has happened, so there isn't a lot to tell - just wanted to say that I'm ok and very busy writing the sequel to 'The Summer After'. Although it looks like it's going to be a looong WIP. But the first chapter should be ready soon-ish.

In case you haven't heard, poshcat now has an on-line shop for all your fangirly needs: Random Squee. I'm trying to think of a way to convince my husband that I really need a mug that says 'Feedback Whore' - or maybe a 'S/B shipper' one...

On the pet front, I can report that Spike the Cat is quite possibly the sweetest pet ever. He's friendly and quiet, loves snuggling on people's laps, is happy to be carried (!) and only scratches when Impish Girl pokes him with a stick (she deserves everything she gets, the little terror!). I have never had a cat this lovely. :)

If you want to see my beautiful home, I have added another link to my link-list. It's web cameras in the Faroes, and there are about 10 now, so you get to see a good few places. And they have snow now! *is jealous*

Watched 'School of Rock' last night and it was thoroughly enjoyable! I hereby recommend it! :)

Was there anything else? ::ponders:: Oh - I'm sure spikes_heart could still do with some help/cheering up.

A small random observation.

Just watched the very end of 'Potential' (Xander's speech to Dawn) and noticed something that never really registered before:

XANDER: "Seven years, Dawn. Working with the slayer. Seeing my friends get more and more powerful. A witch. A demon. Hell, I could fit Oz in my shaving kit, but come a full moon, he had a wolfy mojo not to be messed with. Powerful. All of them. And I'm the guy who fixes the windows."

Did Xander just include Spike on a list of his friends? I can't think who else would fit the 'demon' description. It just made me happy! :)

ETA: Well since everyone seems to have answered the same way, I'm just going to answer everyone at the same time (I know, lazy!).

The reason I thought about Spike was that Xander used the words 'demon' and 'powerful'. Anya was a demon of course, but in the time she knew Xander she was only Anyanka for a short while (post-Hells Bells - Selfless) and when she was human, she never had any powers (except a great knowledge of demons). It just struck me as odd that he'd describe her as someone 'getting more and more powerful'.

And I wish there had been more Xander/Spike bonding in s7 as well. I liked when they worked together in 'Him' although the funniest scene by far was Buffy with the bazooka! :)
