Lockdown Update Day 199
I can't find it, but there was a tweet about how 2020 is re-using story lines... (And another about when will Melania & Trump introduce their new baby - obvs this is re. Boris rather than Bolsonaro). What a weird year. I don't feel like I have anything intelligent to add.

Watched Zoolander with the 15 y.o. tonight. It's from 2001, which made me feel old and nostalgic. It holds up pretty well, all things considered, and is still very funny. Although there are jarring moments like how Trump appears (he has a couple of lines, brrrr, GO AWAY) and then David Bowie appears later being the very epitome of cool.
~
And then completely randomly, have Elizabeth Bennet being iconic for more than 6 minutes straight:
:)Bolsonaro

I find that happens with 45 A LOT. I know he was basically the easiest example for someone extremely rich Hollywood could come up with but I find it so disconcerting how often I've been watching things these last few years and 45 is mentioned. I was watching episodes of Just Shoot Me and he's mentioned often because he's a rich rival of one of the main characters. I was watching a Friends episode last month and he's mentioned a couple of times including a major subplot involving Chandler and Monica seeing him.

It's just SO much fun. Stupid fun, but that's not a bad thing.

D: Why couldn't he just have stayed a rich idiot? Why did he have to drag America down with him? /rhetorical question

David Bowie is in Zoolander?? Must watch that, too.

Thank you, I don't recall seeing that before! :) Although I then had to re-watch Mr. Bingley's Drunken Texts.

It's not a big part, but it is utterly iconic.

And you're right! She reminded me of someone but I couldn't put my finger on it.
