Update from The House of Plague, Day 5

Snapshots from elisi's household:

The middle one, complaining about the lunch options. She appreciates the evening meals (Darcy is a good cook, yo), but we tend to just go for basic sandwiches on a lunchtime, and (at uni) she's gotten used to feeding herself things like couscous and bagels. She had a mini-rant last night: "And now it's like: Here is a carbohydrate and a beet!" Readers, we laughed. Also, once we're out of quarantine, she's in charge of shopping for lunch time food.

The eldest, who likes her hair very short, laughing her head off as she is being hoovered after a semi-successful hair-cutting session, since (despite wearing the large over-all plastic apron that they used for painting when they were little) she is covered in hair.

Me, looking at a very high up shelf.
"That shelf looks VERY dusty. When did I last clean it?"

Oh thank you for the links. The Venice One, the Spain Quarantine Day 3, and the Buzzfeed one about Americans and panic shopping - are wonderful.

I laughed my head off at the panic shopping. It does explain a lot. I've gone to the grocery store several times over the past three weeks - and the panic shopping is bizarre. All the cans are gone. At one point all the chicken was gone. All the sanitary napkins. All the toilet paper. And all the eggs and milk. Now the store is limiting customers to one jug of milk and one carton of eggs, along with limits on all paper items. LOL!

People don't know how to handle this. It's like an invisible hurricane.
