Update from The House of Plague, Day 3
First of all, a lovely, not at all dystopian headline, that looks like it's from a movie:

No update here as such, life carries on. So instead, have a couple of useful links, and some memes. :)
UK Petition: Implement Universal Basic Income to give home & food security through Covid-19
And I just found this:
Doctor Who Classic Complete <- website where you can watch ALL of Classic Who! :O :D
(And because I forgot to link at the time - the awesome plague doctor gif I used in my first post came from this Tumblr post.)
Accurate:

Social Distancing:

This made me laugh so much:

It looks like we'll be closing next week. Good news is my floor is closed to the public (and total foot traffic has plummeted) so social distancing at work is, in fact, practicable.

And all the best re your work. I am sat at my desk doing the most dull of admin work, but it pays the bills. And no phones!!

(Except if you have covid-19, and are short of breath, of course. Which is the case for Miss M, but she manages.)
And yeah, we are Keeping Calm & Carrying On and there is a lot of baking going on. :)

I should not be this happy about finally being able to re-do my Classic Who ep file system- along with being able to replace some of the crappy video files I
piratedborrowed years ago with better ones.no subject
I am slowly watching my way through Classic Who (backwards - so I've done Seven, then Six, then Five, and am now more than halfway through Four), but have been scouring Dailymotion for non-crappy versions and even for a while ended up on ru.tube... Then saw this on Tumblr yesterday and my whole brain exploded with joy. :D :D :D

But honestly, what does it take to persuade Boris Johnson that this is it? Is going to be a massacre if he doesn't shut down everything! I'm not saying it to be pessimistic or to bring you bad luck, but what is happening here is terrible!
I hope you guys can protect yourself, take care of each other and do the isolation part on your own. Best of luck!

:D :D :D I am not entirely sure if I made it up, or if it's an amalgamation of Tumblr memes, but either way I am very pleased with it!!

Boris Johnson is an idiot. We know this. :( (Did you see the video I posted in my first post? It's 30-40 years old. Nothing's change.)
I hope you guys can protect yourself, take care of each other and do the isolation part on your own. Best of luck!
Thank you! And sending you many thoughts... reading the news keeps getting worse.

We still have a sense of normality/unreality because we are still, as far as we know, plague-free. But everywhere is quieter than usual and we are doing some of the things the UK are starting this week as well, to be slightly ahead of the game. I am going out with my daughter's almost mother-in-law for lunch, and am still picking one ungrandchild up from school - but we are closing Church ufn as from today.
My daughter and her fiancé are still determined that they will get married in 9 days time come what may - I think only a declaration that all the registrars are being sent home, and no-one over the age of 30 is to be allowed outdoors, is going to stop them crawling to Castle Rushen next Saturday.

His FACE! I can't stop laughing.

Pull up the drawbridge and cut off the mainland!

Sensible planning? How un-British of you.

Glad you are getting on with the in-laws-to-be (my parents and Darcy's parents get on like a house on fire, and every time my parents visit they'll go for a 'grandparents' night out'. Which is lovely. :) And yeah, no church for us either. (Catholic here... And I don't know if I ever mentioned, but I am one of the catechists for the 'Children's Liturgy', so we are sort of colleagues.)

Good for them! Hope it's a lovely day, despite all the restrictions.

*boots Johnson into the sun* How did we get to the point where JEREMY HUNT is making sense?
The Olympics committee is desperately clinging on by its fingernails.

Amazing, isn't it? SO perfect.
*boots Johnson into the sun* How did we get to the point where JEREMY HUNT is making sense?
No idea, I have been wondering that too. *hands* (I want to add something clever, but it's too late.)
The Olympics committee is desperately clinging on by its fingernails.
Poor things.
