Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson dies aged 61

Roxette was my first band. And Marie was impossibly cool. I still have a drawer full of posters in my old bedroom.

I can't even begin to summarise what it all means. But I still know all their songs by heart.

I was never into bands as such much, but I definitely had a small Roxette phase (therefore large by my standards!). That news gave me quite the whumped feel too. :/

If someone asked me my musical tastes, I could honestly just say 'Roxette' and it'd span pretty much all of it, because their range is so wide.

And Queen of Rain is one of my alltime favourites. Am also tempted to put up 'Things Will Never Be The Same'.

Oh no, 61 is so young. After losing Dolores O'Riordan last year, this sucks even more.
