Trying to catch up...

Been attempting to catch up, ended up at skip=240 /o\ So I have vaguely become aware of what's happening... (There is a parental visit happening, and life has just been busy generally. *waves hands around*)

Happy Pride everyone, hope everyone is well, we survived Trump, but may not survive the Tories/Brexit.

Have also started posting Because Cavemen Have Fire (Spike/Buffy/Angel, post-NFA) to AO3, in case anyone needs a fix of OT3ness [with a lot of meta & character stuff, natch].

Watching Classic Who is still very rewarding. There is the wall-to-wall Straight White Men to deal with of course, but apart from that it does excellent things. The latest one I watched was The Sun Makers, which is as savage as 'Oxygen' re the evils of Capitalism:

I'm following someone who's currently watching S10 for the first time and was very positive about Thin Ice (naturally) and it made me very sad to think we went from "Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life. An unimportant life. A life without privilege. The boy who died on the river, that boy's value is your value. That's what defines an age. That's what defines a species." to... Kerblam!

I've been dealing with someone who claims that Moff's era was 'highly problematic' and that his response to criticism is 'reactionary' as if working on your flaws and fixing them is somehow a BAD THING??

Good point. Although I am currently in a happy bubble of Good Omen-ness which is a lovely place to be and I never want to leave. (It is the loveliest, happiest, most wholesome show ever and I love everything.) *sigh* But since the rant is all written, I might get it out there when I have a day off at some point.

Bugger. My head is full of Good Omens. Like FULL. Am still trying to work out how to write about it, because I just sort of melt from how wonderful it is and how all the fic is as fluffy as candyfloss.

Kerblam! is like a leaky old boot in comparison. It's bad, but it's not even very good at being bad.

But, if you want it, I shall post it. But with a big warning that it might be weeks before I reply to comments...
