First a Thank You to desoto_hia873 for the lovely card! Including a recipe is a lovely idea! :)

Second, sueworld2003 has a sneak pre-view of a new Spike statue.... Oh dear.

And finally, a couple of very quick thoughts on the latest Torchwood ep., which was seriously impressive!

Darcy pronounced it to be the best one yet, and I think I agree. Darcy - being a budding film maker - really loved the way the alien eye ran as a thread through the episode. And how we never found out exactly what it was or what it did, because that wasn't why it was important.

The other aspect that really did it for me was how this was obviously the counter episode to 'They Keep Killing Suzie'. The contrast between Suzie and Eugene, in how they lived their life and afterlife, the way they responded to people around them and their ultimate fate was almost a perfect mirror. Suzie: clinging to life, using everyone - and killing Gwen - to get what she wanted, unable to forgive her father. And Eugene: Accepting of the hand he was dealt, concerned about those he left behind - and saving Gwen's life, ultimately able to see that his father was only a human being and forgive him.

Yup, this show is *good*! At least for now...
