I sort of want to write something about Brexit, but it'll probably be outdated within the hour, and ancient news by tomorrow.
(Not to mention all the other news from around the world. *hands*)
On the other hand, The Umbrella Academy is a thing that exists in the world, so not everything is bad. I am watching it for the second time, remembering what it's like to fall in love with a show and a [weird and wonderful] world and a whole bunch of characters. And what characters!! I can't even. There are SO MANY, and I love them all. (Even the stupid/annoying ones.) Although Five and Klaus were basically custom-made to hit alllll my buttons. Like ticking off everything on a list of 'Stuff that elisi loves'. That hasn't happened in a long, long time.
There are many excellent shows out there, but there are very, very few that hit me in that way, so this was a most wonderful surprise. ♥
ETA: There will likely be spoilers in the comments...
ETA2: THE MUSIC! I can't believe I forgot to mention the music. The music (and how it's used) is just incredible!

I have the same feeling about all the characters - I like or love them all, with the exception of The Handler. (Cha-Cha's lucky she's played by Mary J. Blige, which ups her likability quotient for me.) I mourn Pogo ....

\o/ I was wondering who had watched it, and this post has proved great to get people to talk. (There might be more to come. Nothing concrete just yet, but it's eating my brain to a delightful degree.)
I finally was able to watch the whole thing with BB, and it was pretty much magnificent, even if I have more questions than answers (like, where the hell are the other 35-odd babies? And why'd they happen? And why does anyone want The End of the World?
All this! Who are the people in charge of the Time Agency (I can't remember the actual name). Who decides what is 'supposed' to happen? So many delicious questions. (Dacry was very annoyed when the ending answered, like, nothing and just left everyone to wait for S2. *g*)

Well, The Handler is a very nice villain, so I'm not complaining.

Cha-Cha is... one of the most mysterious ones. Like, what makes her tick? I hope we get more of an insight into her next series.)
I mourn Pogo ....
Same here. (Re-watching from the start is *heartbreaking* - Vanya comes back home and hugs him...) Although there is also the fact that HE IS NEVER EXPLAINED. I sort of love that, but on the other hand would love his background story.
