Nos is right: they haven't actually given us anything to be excited about. Not really. Other than 'Doctor Who is a lady!' and general shininess, and I think we've basically exhausted both of those until we have any more detail about them.
Well I was pathetically fannish about Torchwood, but then it was also the shippiest show IN THE WORLD, so that might have had something to do with it...
And when ANYONE can end up with ANYONE it sort of moves it all along exponentially...
(Which reminds me - we finished Killing Eve and it is ♥ ALL THE WOMEN.)
ETA: Oh! And we are finally watching S6 of Community. Only one episode so far, but at least I know who Frankie is now. Also the sheer madness & format elasticity is... something I had almost forgotten.

But I do remember loving Frankie.
Fave rendition of One Day More I had never seen that! (And yet again I wonder WHY did they not cast actual singers in the movie?? When i went looking for a clip the movie was obviously the top thing on youtube, but I just couldn't.)
My favourite rendition (so far) is probably the youth production that my 2nd eldest was in during the summer. You can watch a little showreel/advert here. They were all young (18 and under), but *so* good. Professional production and it showed. :)
A lot of the actors were picked from the various Les Mis musical tours, including Enjolras and most of the ABC. The main roles went to recognisable names to get money from backers.

(Can't listen; at work. Also it would be embarrassing if I broke into song.)

And ah yes, singing at work might not be ideal. Depends on the song I suppose, but yeah.

Though I'm not sure how much of that is Doctor Who deprivation and how much is being at work.

I still don't really know how to feel. Like, I am more excited about the *idea* than about the actual thing?

Hopefully its a nice, chewy first episode.

Whether he can write a show that I can be fannish about is another matter, though.
