All I got from that article was that people don't like Bernie because he wasn't very nice to Hillary

eta: I want to see something that goes in depth on how the Left's rhetoric was surreptitiously hijacked by Russian memes and how Bernie's faction was possibly implicated and what made it vulnerable. The Bernie Bro argument is completely irrelevant at this point.

The issue with Bernie, generally (still), is that he has a big platform, but he doesn't use it to lift up anyone else.

He is great at enthusing people, and fighting for a minimum wage etc.

But he utterly fails to understand that politics need to be intersectional.

F.ex. a minimum wage is great. But if you don't at the same time look at childcare costs and the wage gap and people on zero hour contracts (just the main issues off the top of my head), you're only helping a certain portion of the working people (mostly white men). Ditto with every other issue.

Plenty of female/poc/lgbtq people don't like Hillary either, dude, or the neo-liberal wing of the democratic party in general.

And like, you're telling me a dude that was an active organizer during the Civil Rights movement doesn't get intersectional politics. That's just. I don't even have the energy to argue, especially when they're both politically irrelevant now anyway.

Not really anything to do with Hillary, plenty of people hate her.

The article just reflected complaints I have seen repeatedly, of people who feel like he doesn't listen. However, considering how old he is... They should just all make way for the younger generation. (Including Hillary.)

ETA: I guess the interesting thing is that if people *like* Hillary, they have to explain why. If people *dislike* Bernie, they have to explain why.

Anyway, I don't feel strongly enough about any of this to argue.

My current WIP (ONLY THE EPILOGUE LEFT OMG) is... sorta kinda Spangel. Like, Spike & Angel's relationship underpins the whole story, but they are 'dating' Buffy & Nina respectively. So not pure Spangel for you to indulge in, alas.

Thank you for the links, honey. As a one time Bernie supporter, I found I have been disappointed that many of his good ideas are not his own and that his own thinking and remarks are a little problematic. Makes me sad, really.

Not regretting my Hillary vote, though! She is still my President (as she did !@#$ing WIN, dammit).

My little 'apricot' baby boy is my second ginger tabby-cat and they are too fun! He is a roaring hot mess and makes me laugh constantly. :D

Yeah, he's one of the good ones, but... I think part of it is just that he's old? He should be retiring, rather than take up space for up & coming younger voices! (And heck, I've even been disappointed by Biden...)

He is...I think I just get discouraged by the anti-Bernies and they make some good points, but at the same time, I guess I just feel bad cause I DID vote for him in the primaries and only recently discovered some problems with his campaigning. But yes, he needs to encourage from the sidelines and shepherd in a new generation of Progressives, methinks.

I will have to definitely post pics! He is a BIG boy. Something I only just cottoned to, lol! Not the bitsy we brought home for sure!

Like I said elsewhere (to someone who was questioning the article) it only recently struck me that people have to *explain* if they like Hillary, or if they *dislike* Bernie. He has an automatic likeability factor.
