Speaking of completely un-deserved Christmassy stuff, then I'm afraid I've been utterly shameless and filled out all the Christmas card polls that have popped up on my flist, even though I'm not sending out any of my own. Partly I have no time, and partly I doubt I could afford it. (If I missed a post somewhere, it was through forgetfulness and RL intrusion - if there's anyone who really wants to send me a card, please link me in comments!)

Have just returned from watching 'Alice in Wonderland' (the musical) - a (very!) amateur production by the Church's theater group. Little Miss M is in it you see, so we had to go watch. As Darcy put it: "It was like being assulted aesthetically!" The girl who played Alice could sing (she could also have done with some voice coaching, but at least she could carry a tune), sadly the rest of the cast was not so fortunate... (the narrator - who sang large chunks of his lines - was almost certainly tone deaf. *shudder*) Little Miss M was of course wonderful, but her parts were only small. Of course she's enoying it all immensely, and we're happy that she has fun, but you just wonder at the organisers - do they not care about quality at all? (Also it's not easy to concentrate when one's head is full of pretty vampires! Ahem.)

Since I have nothing to contribute on the Christmas front, I'm going to attempt to write a lot - and I actually wrote a rough draft of the epilogue for 'Illyria, Alone' yesterday (*waits for my 7 readers to cheer*)! I'm itching to start on my new plot bunny, but so far the end is a lot clearer in my mind than the beginning, so I'll need to work out some plot points before I start..

But I must go again - this week has been very hectic and awkward, but I honestly can't be bothered to explain it all. I'm just going slightly barmy, feeling like I live in a warehouse or something...

Well it was a brilliant surprise! :) And the background is actually the same that I had previously - I decided to keep it since it worked really well.
At least Little Miss M enjoyed it...
Oh yes, she's been having a blast (last performance tonight!), dancing and singing. Lots of her friends are part of the production as well, so for her there were no downsides!
