New Doctor Who composer revealed for Jodie Whittaker’s first series
Segun Akinola is set to create “a fresh take on the legendary theme tune” as the first new composer the series has had in over a decade

Awww yiss, give me all the new music. (I haven't bought a soundtrack since S5 because nothing has grabbed me like the music for that series although I'm tempted to buy S10 as it's Murray's and Moff's last series.)

I bought the S3 soundtrack, because 'This is Gallifrey' hooked me to the point when I actually looked it up.

I also own S4, S5, S6 and S7... S4 has all the Library music and the early River themes. S5 - you know. S6... *hands* SO many gorgeous tracks, and the Wedding music always gets to me. S7 has some amazing stuff - Clara's themes and the Ponds' goodbye and the Akhaten stuff. <3

Then there's the Christmas Specials, most of which I also own. <3 Whose Enigma is one of the tracks I never tire of.

*deep sigh*

That's not to say I am not happy with the new guy, his stuff sounds very much my thing!

Oh yes, I do love Clara's theme, both in its original perky form and in the various wistful echoes that come up later. Especially the Doctor playing it on his guitar.

The Engima one is something else though. I can't count how often I have listened to it... (Generally Murray Gold is excellent to write to.)
