Won't be able to get as much done tonight as I'd hoped. Connection seems to have issues so the batteries going to run out. I have a load of bottle to take to recycling tomorrow anyway, so I'll have to see what the problem is at the shop then.
Well we haven't had a chance to have a long talk over what to do about that yet. I want my stories read and there isn't anywhere else to go. I really miss the days when there were multiple fan archives, but no-one can really afford the time and money for those anymore, which is depressing when it seems to be mirroring what's happenng on the high street.
It's the feeling that I have no choice about it in the end that makes me frustrated and a little negative about it.
I'll find out what the sitch is with the old girl tomorrow. Honestly my mind is more on whta I have to do to get my kittehs back.
It's the feeling that I have no choice about it in the end that makes me frustrated and a little negative about it. Yeah, it was different when there were 23 different archives and all of them specialising... But then, that did put a lot of pressure on individuals to maintain it all. And the upside of AO3 is that it's not 'Walmart', it's for fans, by fans, and there is strength in numbers - no one's going to steal your content or sue you and it won't vanish overnight.
Anyway, the kittehs are obviously VERY MUCH MORE IMPORTANT. Keep that goal in mind, tiny step by tiny step.
Well if it was like Walmart I'd never even read anything that was on there :-) I should have a printer set up by the end of the month, so I'll be able to start printing stories that look interesting and actually read fanfic again.
Broke down in front of the support worker over the thought that it migth all be for nothing as far as getting the kittehs back. I'm afraid of what might happens if that is the case; really afraid.
Going to try and organise my trips to NI when I get my money at the end of this month, and once Dundee and, maybe, Carlisle are out of the way I hope to be in a position to have them back. Going to starting to put things out for birds as well soon; since I have a small garden I cna be sure is mine it's been something I've been thinking on since I moved in at xmas.

That is understandable, and it's probably good to speak that fear out loud. Partly just to see it for what it is and then carry on trying to get everything together.
