As I posted fic yesterday, I realised I hadn't posted anything for about two weeks - dunno what happened, life I guess.

Am going to write a review (i.e. Reasons You Need To Read This) of the book of The Day of the Doctor, but for now I just want to leave you with this vid, which is just somehow perfect. BLACK EVERYTHING!

Am going to write a review (i.e. Reasons You Need To Read This) of the book of The Day of the Doctor

And I'll be very interested in reading it, though not until I've read the book myself (I'm saving it for a train journey next weekend).

(I also bought the Twice Upon a Time novelization because I love Paul Cornell's non-DW books, but BookDepository decided to send me The City of Death instead, presumably in an attempt to get me to try something non-Twelfth-Doctor related for a change :D)

Oh there will be zero spoilers. More a sort of persuasive 'Surely you want to know what happened on that day from the inside. (I have just started reading it for the 3rd time...) Anyway, enjoy! If you have already bought it, no need to convince you.

And I have heard good things about Twice Upon a Time (Cornell is always good), although City of Death might not be bad? I have watched it, and although I didn't think it The Best Thing Ever, I enjoyed it. :)

Lol. The Twice Upon a Time novelization is lovely. That's the word for it: lovely. The Day of the Doctor one is better, mind you. It's playing on a whole other level. But if you were inclined to think you'd like the TOaT one, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yeah, I've heard only good things about all the new Target books. I'm thinking that I might even get the Nine and Ten books, if I like TDotD and TUaT, even if I don't really care about those episodes.

The Doctow Who tie-ins in general seem to be rather good quality. I recently bought the Twlefth Doctor Year One comic collection, and even though I thought the comics were too action-focused, I still could hear a voice at the back of my head shouting "Why couldn't you be this good, Buffy Season 8?! Why?!" :D

I started watching figuring it would be a lol, but you're right. That's just kinda perfect.

He's kinda a ridiculous figure, but he's also conflicted and dangerous... Just making fun is too easy, and I'm glad the vid somehow walks that line.
