I can't but see the comics as another fanfic now, and I have a very strong opinion what should and what should not happen there, so I will be afraid to read it. Or not. ;)
Is it weird that I am willing to follow Joss anywhere during the run of series, but after they are done, I stop and go where I want? (and I have it all planned for Spike and Buffy in my head long ago).

I know what you mean - my first reaction was "what about all those fics set after 'Chosen'? They'll all be invalid now! (or at least they'll have to be relabelled AU).
And just imagine the river of flame that'll start up if Joss shows Buffy happy in her new life, and barely even sparing a thought for Spike. :) Though I am looking forward to seeing the 'official' take on who the Immortal is.
"what about all those fics set after 'Chosen'? They'll all be invalid now! Oddly I'm not too bothered about that - as long as he doesn't touch NFA I'll be happy.
And just imagine the river of flame that'll start up if Joss shows Buffy happy in her new life How dare she! (But then she was dating Riley just a few months after Riley left...)
I can't but see the comics as another fanfic now Same here - and unless it's on screen I doubt it'll ever feel 'real'. For some reason I'm not bothered about filling in post-Chosen stuff, but I really don't want to know anything post-NFA.
