You know, I may just get over Murray Gold leaving the series. We'll always have Paris, you magnificent bastard. About time, though. I mean, the man himself had to comment on youtube videos, explain, and apologise for the inconvenience. Jeez.
Silva Screen better not try to interfere and screw it up like Last Christmas. People, they are perfect, NO TOUCH! (Incidentally, yes, Doctor Who: Every Christmas is Last Christmas - Vocal (Reedit). If you've never seen it before, it's absolutely perfect, you're welcome.)
Mostly looking forward to: That beautiful, moving theme from The Witch's Familiar, you know the one, catchy Viking tunes, hell yes, the one in Heaven Sent when he jumps out of the window, that brief bit where it goes all 80s, tower theme, Beethoven-y Tardis Freakout, and I *would* be excited for the Singing Towers theme or the western influences of Hell Bent, but I already have those in top quality, all praise the Unreleased Family!
Also, we may now hold out hope for Series 10 too. (Which is good, because oh my God, that beautiful guitar from the Pilot, the cool percusion piece from Extremis, and the epicness at the beginning of WEAT which made me replay the opening with the black hole 5 times, the melancholic greatness with the desolated city, “This Is Gallifrey” reprises, all those early scenes in TDF where he went all Morricone, the reworking of “Breaking the Wall”, the SAD SADNESS FROM PLANET SAD, you know which one, etc, etc...)
You know, I may just get over Murray Gold leaving the series. We'll always have Paris, you magnificent bastard. Yes, we've had a good run. However I can't imagine anyone else being able to make music that makes people cry just by hearing it. (That was one of the constants in reaction videos. All the different themes, and people being unable to cope.)
About time, though. I mean, the man himself had to comment on youtube videos, explain, and apologise for the inconvenience. Jeez. Hunh. And they hated him when he first started...
Silva Screen better not try to interfere and screw it up like Last Christmas. People, they are perfect, NO TOUCH! I don't think I ever bought that one, so I don't know what I did. But I can't imagine you could do much to Heaven Sent.
(Incidentally, yes, Doctor Who: Every Christmas is Last Christmas - Vocal (Reedit). If you've never seen it before, it's absolutely perfect, you're welcome.) *makes note*
Also, we may now hold out hope for Series 10 too. Bill's theme! ♥ And oh god, everything from the finale. EVERYTHING.
