I had one of these flat earth people in the library a few months ago, before I heard of it and I thought he was pranking me. Took everything I had not to laugh in his face and be like "you are a moron".

After reading the entire thread I'm not convinced the FlatEarthSociety isn't a troll account. I kind of want it to be. But I think it probably isn't.

Someone commenting on a Boston Globe article about a local flat-earther made the remark that if the Earth really was flat, and there really was an edge, there would be a huge tourism business in taking people to look at the edge. You mean to tell me, in this day and age, that nobody would go there and photograph/ video it?

But it really is sad how incredibly credulous some people are.

Well, they believe the South Pole is all around the edge... but surely satellites could take a picture? Mind you, they want to launch a rocket of their own. (Try to google it, it looks like the next winner of the Darwin award.)
