SHE'LL DO! :D

(Seriously, just WRITING 'she'... Eeee. *flails*)
ETA: I love the aesthetic of these mini videos. The nature intertwined with the magical/otherwordly. It sits right, and also has a very different textural feel to Moffat. (Which is good. Nothing will ever be Moffat Who, so I want a complete change.)
Also Thirteen's personal aesthetic is very much to my liking. <3
ETA2: I THINK THEY CHOSE WELL:
"It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: hope. I can’t wait.”

Never heard of her +

Brave decision on her part because she is on a total lose-lose situation however stellar the writing is. She's where Jackie Robinson was in Baseball; where Obama was in 2007; where Hilary Clinton was last year.
More than any other actor she will be defined for the rest of her life by this moment. I hope she's ready for the hate that's going to be thrown her way.
Whether we like her or not, we who have wanted this for so long have to; HAVE TO, stand by her. She will need allies like no-one else on British Television.

I think she is fairly well known? (Not by me, but she's been in a lot of things.) And yeah, no way would they change gender AND race at the same time. Next time, male POC?

I LIKE HER ON PRINCIPLE. I liked Eleven on principle, before I'd ever seen anything he'd done. And hey, look on it the other way - she's a pioneer! She will forge the path for all who come after.

Oh, lord, will she. I hate to think what boards like Gallifrey Base are saying right now.

I'm certainly looking forward to how this will change the dynamic in the TARDIS - whoever we get as her companion(s) it will certainly be something new to explore. :-)

And yeah, a nice young male companion? ALL CHANGE! :D

I think that was the first thing I saw Jodie Whittaker in - or at least the first thing I remembered her from, since I watch a LOT of costume drama and must have seen her in Cranford and Tess of the d'Urbervilles. She's really good in it, and deals well with aliens (a plus for her new job) - and of course, it also stars baby John Boyega.

Yeah, I shall be throwing it at people too! SUCH a good movie.
I don't think I've watched anything else she's been in, but my have to look up Broadchurch.

So between this and Boyega in Star Wars, I expect a lot of Attack The Block crossovers...

(I am a couple of seasons behind on DW, since I'm only watching it as it comes out on Canadian Netflix, but I have seen Broadchurch—it being on Canadian Netflix—and I think Jodie Whittaker will be a brilliant Doctor! I can hardly wait until I get to see her in the role!)

And completely different. Dunno if you saw my earlier post, but in my head, Thirteen was female. ALL CHANGE, ALL NEW.
