Saffiyah seems pretty awesome - she was interviewed on Woman's Hour</> this morning and on our local BBC news this evening. She seems totally together and genuinely seems to feel it was no big deal. I love her smile, just a touch patronising because she knows EDL are morons.

I found PC Palmer's funeral procession deeply moving - as a copper's daughter it was good to see his sacrifice recognised.

So, do you agree with the iPlayer Europeans? What do you find weird (still) about this country? (BTW, we've replaced our separate taps with single mixer taps. Dave and I can eventually take a hint!)

Yes, few people I know think EDL have many brain cells between them. Not even bright enough to be Brownshirts. Lovely little article in the Grauniad today about her meeting the woman she went to support.

I wish our sodding government recognised and respected EU people can assimilate. Though the Brexiteers will always be weird to me, as to you. :-(

I remember reading about some white supremacist in America who was targeting the local rabbi. But the rabbi decided to talk to him, and find out *why* this man hated him so much... As it turned out he was disabled and desperately lonely. And he and the rabbi became friends and he gave up on his hatred.
