I'm more of a tea-drinker myself, but I confess Torchwood has increased my fondness for coffee. :D Ianto is delightful. I adore him so. I'm feeling compelled to start a rewatch of S2 to feast on GDL's acting and the lovely mess that is the Jack/Ianto relationship...
It's a bit odd to come to the fandom years after everyone else, especially in the case of Torchwood where most of the fandom activity happened in the last decade, but hopefully some people find it fun to read the new viewer's point of view even this late. And at least with S10 I get to be on the same time with everyone else. :-) (Hmm, I'm so going to need a Bill icon.)

(I say 'watch' - Ianto's death hurt me like no fictional death ever has, before or since.) But it was amazing while it lasted, and the fic was... incredible. I can try to dig up old links? The show was such a mess, but on the plus side it meant the fic writers could write ANYTHING. And they did. <3

That sums me up, too. But yeah, I appreciate Ianto appreciating coffee, too. Besides, I bet his tea is marvellous, too. We just don't get the chance to find that out because the others at Torchwood are such coffee addicts. (I felt personally offended when one fanfic suggested he might use teabags.)
I occasionally enjoy a really good latte, though, but it has to be based on exceptionally fine coffee, so I don't do it a lot. The sort of bitter stomach-scorching trash that my countrymen call coffee is nothing I want to touch, but there are some better-quality places that actually make it well. Still, my tastebuds and body appreciate tea much better. But occasionally good coffee will provide the kind of caffeine kick that I need, and then I try to pretend it's made by Ianto. <3
I haven't yet watched S3, though I'm aware of that spoiler - a good thing, too, because I'm going to be heartbroken enough even when being able to prepare for it beforehand. I'm guessing the fandom implosion would have been a painful event to be around for, so maybe it's good I didn't experience it in real-time, but all the stuff beforehand would have been interesting. Well, it's interesting now, too. When I get my thoughts together, I will be posting about it all. I've read quite a lot of fic by now, but if you have any particular favorites, feel free to rec, as I'm sure there's plenty of good stuff I haven't read yet. I've basically just searched through a few extensive rec posts and then read more by the authors I liked, but there's so much stuff it's hard to know how much of the good stuff I've found. But yes, seems like the writers have written pretty much everything. :-D
