The Church imagery is so VERY Moffat era. *sigh* I am stripping this of as much context as humanly possible for you, but *hands*
In the Haereticum (the Vatican’s secret library of blasphemy) there is an ancient book known only as The Veritas. Throughout history, anyone who has ever read it has immediately taken their own life.Radio Times
^^^ Moff, I am begging you. Give me something here. We wants it, precious.
Heh. But sometimes it works! *g*
That's... worryingly brilliant. IKR? Part of me just wants to make something silly and quick to get over this hump.
All your ideas are fabulous, of course, but do the Church one first. Then you can knock that one off your list! :) There's probably the most meat to be had there, and having a thorough idea of what I want to do is pretty much the quickest way to kill my desire to do a project, so good in that sense. And, like, naturally, let me make the most massive, interwoven, broad-spreading, meta-tastic thing imaginable.
Obviously, though, in light of the above, best to see out the season.
^^^ Moff, I am begging you. Give me something here. We wants it, precious. I read about that far originally, and I am both v excited and also deeply apprehensive. People writing about faith can go wrong in SO MANY WAYS IT ISN'T EVEN FUNNY.

Of course, if you do, then this season will provide a ton of extra material & you'll have to start over. *g*
I read about that far originally, and I am both v excited and also deeply apprehensive. People writing about faith can go wrong in SO MANY WAYS IT ISN'T EVEN FUNNY. Hmmm, point taken. It is describing a Moff episode, which is not a guarantee against fail, but does raise the potential Relevant To Our Interests to potential fail ratio appreciably.
How would you rate the general fail rate of Moff Who in this area?
What happened to Three Wishes? Song was too depressing to listen to ad-infinitum the way you need to to vid. Also never got a way to bring it together.
Of course, if you do, then this season will provide a ton of extra material & you'll have to start over. *g* Pretty much. Or I could just start and trust the Moff to provide the way he did for Radioactive.
I'm trying to think about why I associate churches so much more with Twelve than with Eleven, who arguably has far greater contact with them. It occurs to me that Twelve was born out of a thousand-year war with a church. He's also in general more anti-establishment than Eleven. I think mostly though it may just be that the song came out at the right time and the rawness is just so much more suited to Twelve than Eleven.
How would you rate the general fail rate of Moff Who in this area? Wrt Doctor Who then all that springs to mind is the Church of the Silence. And that's fine. But involving the Vatican and so forth is risky. I shall hope for the best however, as he isn't RTD.
