Thunder and lightning...

Very very frightening

Just had a YUGE storm! You wouldn't believe this storm. It was, like, the BEST storm, OK?

Rain so heavy it looked like something out of an overblown Hollywood movie. Thunder & lightning that just went on & on. (And is still going on.) Never seen anything like it. Apocalyptic, if you were superstitious.

And AMAZING, in case that's not obvious. :)

And the lightening was like... a strobe light. (Literally, not exaggerating.) With the thunder right on top of us.

Oh sorry, you were referring to the "Bohemian Rhapsody" song by the British rock band Queen?. Anyway...

If I'm experiencing a major thunder storm my poor cat can't cover her ears and the dogs in the neighborhood howl. My house gets flooded because of the outdated drain system.

But if I wasn't, I'm sure it would be entertaining.:)

Where do you live in the UK (general area)? We had some thunder and lightning here in Gloucestershire but wasn't anything spectacular.

I love a good thunderstorm. Do you get many around you? Hot, humid, and miserable with afternoon or evening thunderstorms are the way of life in the summer for us, though I feel like we've had surprisingly few this year . . .

There's nothing quite like a good storm! We had one a few weeks back, you could hear the glass rattling in the windows when the thunder cracked! And the flash of the lightning gave me chills. We didn't lose power though, which was pretty impressive!

My husband loves watching the rain and thunderstorms. I always tease him about it because I don't get it.
