*pets gently* Well, the Dems are certainly doing their best to tell us exactly that. And talk about organized . . . this convention is stagecrafted out the wazoo.

I'm going to be really interested in how some of tonight's speeches played over the pond. The Democrats really took up the mantle of RA-RA-U-S-A! American exceptionalism, which the Republicans have owned for decades but Trump entirely failed to seize. And they used it to brand Trump as un-American and say 'we're not letting him take our country.' I mean, they really made a convincing case for the Democrats being the only American political party right now. Joe Biden started sounding like a Captain America World War II propaganda reel, which is not necessarily something I look for in a politician, but I thought it worked amazingly well.
