I adore his clips on comedy central and his stand-up acts; he looks like a member of Charlie Brown's Peanuts gang, utterly adorable, and yet he's sly and smart and literally sneaks social and political content on you without you even realizing at first that's what he's doing. (His take on "charming racism" in his stand up act Lost in Translation for instance.)
And I think he's perfect for the Daily Show because he adds that outsider perspective of someone from another nation to remind us that yes, US politics is just plain batshit crazy.
Have you watched Samantha Bee's new show yet? Full Frontal? I'm really loving that one as well.

His take on "charming racism" in his stand up act Lost in Translation for instance. Oooh, I've not seen that. Must look it up. :)

Alas, I apparently saw Trevor's film on You Tube before Comedy Central was able to block all copies of it due to infringement, so you'll have to settle for short clips at Comedy Central or You Tube.
Or on why Ohio Gov John Kasich is one of the most truly dangerous people among the Republican candidates due to the laws he's enacted in his state blocking access to abortions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6y_AeJXUdM
I'm glad she didn't take the Daily Show desk because it's clear she has her own voice.
Oh man. I've mostly given up The Daily Show and its ilk since Bush left office. It's seemed less of a necessity for maintaining basic sanity, and I go to bed earlier anymore.
But this year. I am feeling the need. Help us, late night political satirists. You're our only hope.
