I adore his clips on comedy central and his stand-up acts; he looks like a member of Charlie Brown's Peanuts gang, utterly adorable, and yet he's sly and smart and literally sneaks social and political content on you without you even realizing at first that's what he's doing. (His take on "charming racism" in his stand up act Lost in Translation for instance.)
And I think he's perfect for the Daily Show because he adds that outsider perspective of someone from another nation to remind us that yes, US politics is just plain batshit crazy.
Have you watched Samantha Bee's new show yet? Full Frontal? I'm really loving that one as well.
Oh man. I've mostly given up The Daily Show and its ilk since Bush left office. It's seemed less of a necessity for maintaining basic sanity, and I go to bed earlier anymore.
