Female gaze...

I wasn't familiar with Elle King before seeing her on Graham Norton, and thought I'd look her up on youtube. And just look what I found:

Which is a nice anti-dote to stuff like this.

(Not that Elle King isn't gorgeous of course.) (ETA: ISN'T! Dammit, why can't I type?)

Or this, which I had to walk past every day for weeks on my way to work. I can't think of another movie poster I have loathed quite so much. Somehow 'objectification' takes on a whole other level.

It's the push back, methinks. And Hollywood has jumped on it, alas. UGH.

*HUGS*

Rather love that vid. Caliper on the other foot, methinks, lol!!

Dirty Grandpa is everything I hate about movies summed up in one poster.

Have you seen this video?

I'm not seeing what's so wrong with the "Love" shot.

Oh, that. I love movies like "Revenge of the Nerds" so that particular trope doesn't bother me. I know you rarely see the opposite, but that actually feels fairly realistic, since you don't see it as often in the real world either.

I've seen this video. Lots of fun!

I have been wondering about whether a man can ever be a feminist. MY youngest son is a feminist but he is also young. I am hoping there are good influences out there.
But sometimes I think the adage "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of needle than for a rich man to enter heaven" is also true for rich men ever being feminists.

Human nature; ALL humans, cling to advantage.
