And Hermione grew up to be the first female President of America
Seriously though. If Hillary had gone to Hogwarts she'd totally have been the one carrying around A History of Hogwarts. And when she found out about House Elves, she'd have been outraged too and done her best to do SOMETHING to help.
(I now have an image in my head of Hillary knitting tiny elf clothing...)
And then this morning brought this story (hence the post):

♥ I am very happy for you! If it comes our way we might have a look? At the moment we're trying to keep up with Bake-Off AND Victoria, which is proving a challenge (I may have mentioned this already), and still have to finish Bojack (not rushing!) and then watched half of the first episode of Rick & Morty last night (Darcy put it on, I've never mentioned it!), so... Um. Busy.
And it's HBO, so fingers crossed that everybody doesn't just go IT'S BORING AND RAPE-Y AND HAS NO REDEEMING FEATURES AND EVERYBODY WHO LIKES IT IS WRONG and then it gets cancelled after twelve episodes.
My these grapes are sour. (Brownie points if you can name show/character/episode that's from. *g*)

And there's ANOTHER show I should be watching. /o\

Also Matt Smith's historical monarchy drama thing-y is coming out in November, I think?

Ummmm . . . BtVS? I wanna say Willow for some reason.
I honestly wasn't too upset about Dollhouse's being cancelled while I was watching it--tv networks be tv networks, you know? It was when I turned to the internet, assuming there would be AMAZING META because the show is built for it, and all I could find was whining Whedon fangirls acting like 'it's really rape-y' is some powerful critique of the show as opposed to the freaking text of the show itself.
And there's ANOTHER show I should be watching. /o\
I'd just been thinking I needed to get back to Parks and Rec--I stalled out around the start of the fourth season, but mostly out of being in the mood for something else, not any dissatisfaction with the show. It is, indeed, exactly as lovely as everybody says.

No worries! Been busy myself (blah blah RL), and Trump's campaign at the moment invites this gif:

Playing Prince Philip, aye. It'll be interesting to contrast it with Victoria - which I'm enjoying muchly btw. There is a ton about a woman trying to make a space for herself in a man's world - and then the opposite for Albert, who finds himself as 'the spouse' and has to fight for a position. (And everyone tells him 'Just wait until she's had a son, then everything will be better for you.')
\o/ It's an October miracle! Did he express any opinions?
Well it's very silly, so he likes it. Like, he adores Archer & Arrested Development, so I'm guessing it'll keep working for him.

Cordelia. And, darn, I can't even remember if it's S1 r S2. Early Cordy, anyway.

Well... I believe it has its cake & eats it too on that score?

... One day.

I actually managed to watch the second debate, in the hopes that he would go into meltdown and it would all be over. I psyched myself up by watching Beyonce's Lemonade beforehand (yes, it was amazing, btw).
I am so disappointed that he managed to hold it together by the minimal standards to which we hold him /o\
But I think barring the revelation that Clinton is an alien bent on destroying earth, this election is effectively over. I cannot tell you how many articles I've read in the last 72 hours. So. Many. Articles.

I am interested in that one, though not enough to go out searching for it. It's not in any of the US pipelines yet, though it reeks of something that'll end up on PBS eventually.

I like all of this, yes.

Sounds like a fit to me.

She was gonna be my backup guess. Well, I knew it was an ESFJ?
Well... I believe it has its cake & eats it too on that score?
Mmmmmm. It's complicated. I mean, I get why there are people who can't watch it or don't want to watch it. But if you do watch it and actually give it time, it really takes you through a lot of layers. Like, you start out being repulsed at what it's doing, and then it gradually seduces you into finding it normal. And then it pulls the rug out from under you. And then everything just goes crazy and there are fairtales and metaphysical shit. Ugh, I love it. I should watch it right now . . .

Yet another thing I've got to watch. Although I watched her show at... some awards thing or other. Twas incredible.

I hear ya. However the implosion is now in full swing! Huzzah. Here's to EVERYONE voting & crushing him.

I... might have a look. Some day. Honest.

No doubt it's going to become a classic, though it feels deeply of the moment. SNL even got in on the action. (original)

Sadly I don't think we're headed to a true landslide, but if we could flip a traditional red state or two, that would be epic.

It ain't going anywhere.

Thank you so much for that, I hadn't seen it!!! (Did you see Beyonce's VMA show?

Well, as long as she wins.

True.

I hadn't. That woman's energy is astounding. Though, on the whole, I prefer the music videos because, dear god, the imagery! You just can't do that on a stage. You've at least seen Formation y/y? And the other bit that's publicly available is Hold Up.

Well we have watched 2 episodes so far (the pilot and the Inception one). I think he likes it more than I do. Although I presume it gets less... juvenile?
(Also the random burping is like nails to a blackboard. Does that get better?)
Hey look at me being unenthusiastic! The next two weeks will be crazy busy, so I guess I'm fairly stressed out.

I found the first episode actively off-putting (if obviously chock-full of inventive details). I don't know if I'd have gone on long if Owls weren't telling me it was the most brilliant thing in the world.
It improves rapidly, though. By halfway through the first season you'll see just how hardcore it is about its scifi tropes. Also the family relationships end up being unexpectedly touching. Mind you, the juvenile jokes stay. But with a lot more substance behind it.
(Also the random burping is like nails to a blackboard. Does that get better?)
Yeah, they find a balance there. (Large parts of the show are improvised by the voice actors. There is an episode where this will become abundantly clear, but in getting used to Rick and Morty's speech patterns . . . I'm not saying it makes it less annoying, but at least you get why they keep fumbling their words. And I think the Rick actor got tired of burping constantly after awhile.)
Hey look at me being unenthusiastic!
I'm so proud of you!

*pets* I hope it's not too bad.

Well my other half likes it, and it's in nice short chunks so we'll definitely persevere. :)
And I think the Rick actor got tired of burping constantly after awhile.
I can imagine.
I'm so proud of you!
:) Also, why are all the stories about straight white people! Stop it already! (*hands all the gold stars to Class*)

Lol. You haven't gotten to the Christmas episode yet, then.

And anyway, my beef was with the two main characters being white, male & straight. Not much that can be done about that now... ;)
