A man who could plausibly become President was up in the middle of the night hate-tweeting about non-existent sex tape to defend fat shaming

But the world is a just place...
!!! Inbox: [Clinton Travel Pool] Clinton pool #14 -- Clinton campaign comment on Trump porno (seriously.) pic.twitter.com/VLCQv9Kd5t

(Link with more details here: Donald Trump Appeared In A 2000 Playboy Softcore Porn. ETA: Clarification: He did not get naked, just broke a bottle of champagne and welcomed the stars to New York. And then they went off & did naughty things on their own without him.)
But, delving into the issue (not the porn!) more deeply and looking at the how and whys:
Donald Trump Is Being Outplayed by Women—and He’s Losing His Mind Over It
The GOP nominee’s pathological sexism could be what kills his presidential hopes. Good.
And then I found this excellent article by Sady Doyle:
Hillary Clinton, who has suffered fools all her life, is bulletproof against Donald Trump’s low blows
Money quote:
[Again,] Trump seemingly hasn’t noticed that by continuing to go after Machado, he’s playing right into Clinton’s characterization of him as a bully. If the opportunity to call a woman ugly comes up, he has to take it. To back down would make him less than a man. And that’s the kind of mindset Clinton is counting on. She’s ready for a debate-as-bullfight: Matador Hillary keeps waving her big red cape (or red suit) in front of the bull, so he’ll put his head down and charge. All the while, she’s planning to stick him as he rushes by.
Trump has not faced an opponent like this before. Jeb Bush cowered. Marco Rubio and Cruz tried and failed to match the reality TV star insult-for-insult. But Hillary Clinton understands the power of holding her ground and smilingly, knowingly baiting him, reaping the rewards every time he combusts.
Or, as she puts it in this tweet:
"Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake" - Napoleon, and also Hillary Clinton's face right now

I need brain bleach now. That is a piece of info that I could've gone the rest of my life without knowing. x_X

thankfully for HRC's campaignthat seems to be beyond him. So he keeps digging that deeper hole - and as he does, more and more people are motivated to find out just how crooked HE is. And he makes a dog's leg look straight!*HUGS*

The brilliance of the Clinton campaign is really showing it's hand - she will TROUNCE him in the next debate (and his followers will become completely unhinged)

And I can't even imagine the next debate. Presumably he'll try to go after Bill's affairs (I hope her response is 'Well, as a serial adulterer, maybe YOU could give me some insight into the subject...'), but overall she has the bigges arsenal ever. He'll lose it completely.
(I'm so glad I made this icon.)

I haven't a clue, honestly. The thing about "wanting to vote for Trump to send a message to the establishment?" Doesn't mean jack, it's all show. The system itself isn't changed, except our country will move farther right politicially. His VP is an establishment politician and will probably actually do most of the policy work, which means we will see protections for blacks, gays, women etc rolled back.
BTW, did you SEE the latest shitstorm - his latest remarks about PTSD to a veteran's group? Funny coming from someone who avoided service himself. He has an incredibly backwards, 1950's view of culture and is decades behind the times when it comes to just about any issue. Driving away vets is NOT a smart tack for a Republican - that's a huge part of their base, for crying out loud.

Watching him shoot himself in the foot time and again is delish. My hope is that he "peaked too soon".

I wish people wouldn't look at their votes as "sending a message" or whatever. It's about choosing the country's leadership. And DT has proven over and over that he is, on every level, completely incapable of leadership. He can't even lead his own businesses!
Another worry I have about a Trump presidency is that he would burn out after a year, and we'd be stuck with Mike Pence as president. Ugh ugh ugh.

Even when he tries to be sensitive he can't - because actual empathy would require actual, you know, empathy for other human beings. Or at least sympathy.
All of his attitudes are straight from the 1950's.
And add this to the other awful things he's said about vets, the military, as well as people with disabilities...I have no idea how anyone can even consider him.
and we'd be stuck with Mike Pence as president.
I've mentioned this to friends, smart politically active people and they look at me like they hadn't considered this possibility. At all. We elect Donald, we elect MP and the far right wingnuts that the Republican party has surrendered to.
Didn't Donald's son say point blank months ago that other people would be taking care of all domestic and foreign policy and Trump's focus would be on, quote "making America great again"? I doubt Donald will do a single day's real work, but he'll there whenever the cameras are in the Rose Garden. *SMDH*
Comparing him to Obama makes me feel as though my head is going to explode from the cognitive dissonance.

I wonder how long it's going to take people who've complained about President Obama to miss him once he's out of office. He and the Dump Truck should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. Obama is a class act.
