I didn't know that this topic could get such a vast reaction. Have you read some of the comments?
I don't think Moffat meant to offend anyone. What's wrong is that diversity is still an issue.

Ahahahhaha! No.
I never read the comments, as I need to retain my faith in humanity somehow...
And it doesn't matter what he says, people will take it the wrong way. Every time.

It's wierd how some people's views can get distorted. I know they are just a minority. They were missing the point.
I just want to enjoy the show.

That was my mistake. I should just stick to LJ comments. I may not always agree with Moffat but I try to explain my perspective on it. Oh well.

Such is fandom.

I don't understand their "logic".

It never crossed my mind that Moffat hired Pearl Mackie because of her ethnicity. I was thinking it was cool that "Bill" has a different style of clothing compared to Amy and Clara. I'm a bit of a tom boy myself.

And yeah, she's v. cool - hints of Ace. People are hoping she might be from the 90s!

I'm not saying I believe it. The comments in the article brought it up. Considering their attitude towards the show, I'm not going to take their word for it.
Maybe she might take to a baseball bat to a Dalek like Ace did.:)
One of the topics I'm doing in my TAFE course is about diversity within the workplace. Sort of a coincidence.

Here's to hoping! :D

Those pesky Daleks just keep coming back. Like the terminator. Sometimes their scary but once their weak point is found then you just want to roll your eyes at them.

Although the suggested actors at the top - two of them seem well beyond telly to me, one's in Supergirl, and the last... well he'd be great, I'm all in favour, but can you imagine Alan Johnson as the Doctor? It'd be even more brain-breaking than Malcolm Tucker :D
