End of an era... in two years time.

From the Radio Times:

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat quits to be replaced by Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall

Only a Doctor Who Christmas special will air in 2016. Moffat's final series to be broadcast next year in order to create a “huge event” for fans. Chibnall will begin his tenure in 2018

And this seems quite fitting.

Yeah, I think we're all waiting for the inevitable "man, remember when Moffat was in charge and it was good" theme to emerge. And then we will laugh loudly and evilly.

I don't have much to judge him on. I never watched Broadchurch f.ex. Although he's good with character stuff and such, and group dynamics.

*sniggers evilly* If something like that pops up and people go up in arms, I will thoroughly enjoy myself.
Say what you will about Moffat, but he never [fill in your own choice of Chibnall fail] *g*

That said, Chibnall also wrote this, for which I am willing to cut him a pretty much endless amount of slack...

Broadchurch S1 was okay but S2...

I don't think Chibnall is the worst ever, I just want him to be consistent.

Alas, there's the rub. We have everything from a metal bikini to dinosaurs on a spaceship.

(That said, I am looking forward to lots of crack. If I can't have poetry, I'll happily settle for stuff like a cyberwoman fighting a pterodactyl.)
