End of an era... in two years time.

From the Radio Times:

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat quits to be replaced by Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall

Only a Doctor Who Christmas special will air in 2016. Moffat's final series to be broadcast next year in order to create a “huge event” for fans. Chibnall will begin his tenure in 2018

And this seems quite fitting.

Same with Doctor Who. It really was all wobbly sets and TERRIBLE effects (oh god, Face of Evil had 'ball guns', I kid you not), but people love them because it reminds them of their childhood. Objectively, the new show is much better, but they're incapable of viewing it like that.
What's weird is, I don't feel like these are two difficult perspectives to hold at the same time? Like, there is nothing contradictory to say 'I love this, but it has not aged well.'

Whatever, they're still wrong.
