Eurovision.

So much fun this year. And some really good entries. Austria might be my favourite, it could be a Bond theme! Also liked Norway, Iceland and Belarus. Norway's, especially, was amazing.

Also Graham Norton > all other presenters. This is now official. :)

I am unfortunately an American but when I saw Conchita Wurst, not only is she very different, cause she's deffinitely provocative for she is the first drag queen to keep some manly appearances, I was blown away.

Look beyond the beard and you see how just AMAZINGLY talented she is.

I am so happy she won this means so much to LGBT to have someone like her to win Just Awesome!

Apparently I missed something yesterday then! I stopped watching this years ago as usually the songs are not to my musical taste (and also sound more or less alike). I miss the goold old days when really good songs that lasted decades (like ABBA) came out of this. But nowadays you don't even remember the winners from last year. Even when Germany won a few years ago, it all left me rather cold.

I have watched your clip though and agree that this would really make a good Bond song. And I love to hear the audience cheer. Was this the original entry or the end song after she/he won?

My brother also showed me the way all the singers had to make their flag out of different things, that was interesting and funny.

I might even have watched it with half an eye and read the newspaper with the other, like I somethimes do, and only look up when things are getting interesting, but well, there was John Barrowman on QVC, and if I have to chose between any TV and John Barrowman, he always wins ;) Poor thing, he is a huge fan himself and was not able to watch it.

Did you hear him being a guest on the Graham Norton radio show in the morning at the same day? They played three songs from the new album already.

I'm sorry, somehow I ALWAYS manage to bring EVERY conversation around to JB... *sighs* My posts should come with a warning.

Back to topic: On Tumblr, I found this: as far as i can tell from my dash there’s some sort of gay musical olympics going on that only europe was invited to

Poor Australia who wanted to take part ;)

Actually, at the Graham Norton radio show on Saturday morning, he got asked about taking part and actually said they have asked him several times, he just never had the time. Maybe one day! Although, in Germany, really well-known people rather not take place, as they fear the not-success.

Were you at the JB tour 2011? He sang an Eurovision medley there, such great fun! If you haven't seen that, go here and scroll down to the sixth video (you can watch all the others too, it is a great project, she took all youtube videos and cut them together like a concert DVD):

Also I have two British TV shows where John was in the jury selecting the British Eurovision entry, if you like I can share them with you!

The radio show can be found here but I am afraid I don't know at which time he was on exactly. Not in the first hour, as I listened live but then got bored: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b043594q

I just stumbled about this link and thought you might enjoy it - Weekend Wogan with John Barrowman. It's one of those many interviews he did when the new CD came out earlier this year, but what makes this interview special is that he sings two songs live in the studio, with just Matt playing the piano. So beautiful.

Yay! :D I'm not a Eurovision kind of girl, but this is cool!
