SPOILERS FOR SERIES 3!!

Hello everyone.
Sherlock came back in January and so am I. The character development of this series really inspired me, and I've been willing to use a song by Imagine Dragons for a long time. I wanted to use mostly footage from series 3, and focus on the actions taken by Sherlock in order to protect John (and of course Mary). Yes, this show, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson own my soul. And it's good for creativity, I suppose (well, at least I'm trying).

Okay, you have NO idea how excited I was that SecretlytoDream (Loki) started vidding (AND WATCHING!!!!!) Doctor Who!! I've been a follower of her vids for years! Her Supernatural videos are some of the very best. Thoughtful, inspiring and so DEEP. So when I saw her fall to Sherlock BBC, I knew it was only a matter of time. My deep joy that she has transitioned to Who just...knows no bounds! And this being her first DW vid...well...I know it will only get better from here!

And yes, her Sherlock vids are just as superb...

I can't stop watching the last Sherlock video, Bleeding Out!! AND THE SONG!! The song is... I kind of hate it but I love it more, because it brings out emotions I put aside, for a long while and it's always surprising just how important ART is for the soul.
Though if there's one thing I can always swear by is this:
ART is there to take care of our souls- or to remind us we have a soul, even when everything seems dead.

I can't stop watching the last Sherlock video, Bleeding Out!! AND THE SONG!!
I know... I can't describe it either (although I've adored the song for quite a while, bought it before Christmas I think), and the combination just works in ways that gives me goosebumps. I love vids especially because you can, with clever cutting and juxtaposition, put things across in a vid that would take thousands of words in meta. (Like Promethia's vid - The New Age - which packs in so, so many of our thoughts on Doctor Who and all the layers we see.)

And yes, art is so, so important. I've been reading The Doctor, The Eye Doctor and Me and the way the author blends analysis of the show with analysis of the situation in Syria is incredible. And also something that clearly helps him.
