My husband, the Seer
Darcy would like to go on the record to say that he predicts that the expected storm will mean a bit of wind and rain in one Welsh village.
If he turns out to be right, he wants to be able to say 'I told you so!' to the whole internet.
I have obliged, by writing this down...
In other news I have taken half-term off work and am blissfully relaxed.

I like him.
Still probably better to play it safe. Stay dry!

Even if we have uprooted trees tomorrow, he'll be all 'Pft! People get so worked up over nothing. So it was a bit windy...'

Oh I'm not going anywhere! <3
(I got the paper back of Summer Falls for my birthday - it also contains the Melody Malone book, and a story about Madame Vastra - and it has a new introduction by Amelia Williams which I will have to scan/type up. The showrunners SPOIL us rotten, they do!)

(Although I suppose it's a bit like the Faroes, everything is presumably built to withstand that kind of weather.)

I think most islanders like you, me, and D-d, are inclined to go "A big storm! What fun to lie in bed and hear the wind howl!" expect to cope with no boats for a day or two, and wait for it to be over.
Of course, if it only hits the Channel Islands, Darcy would be within his rights to claim to be right as they don't, really, count...

*nods* Tea and biscuits also help. :)

LOL. As long as he doesn't mention it near any islanders...

Re: Ray trying again
Oh yes, I remember that picture! It made the rounds back when he was cast I think. Along with ones of David Tennant and every other Doctor. I still recall the confused American who replied to a post (not mine, whoever it was that had collected all the Doctors in dresses) and asked whether it was compulsory for British actors to wear drag. The answer was a simple 'yes'. ;)
