This truly wonderful video is of a man coming round from anesthesia after hernia surgery, and suffering from temporary amnesia. Which means he's forgotten his wife...

In response to all of the questions: I had a hernia repair to fix residual tears from a previous surgery.
I wish I could remember this but I was definitely out of it.
This was my fifth surgery within our six years of marriage and she's been by my side through all of it. In a previous surgery I suffered a severe complication and we didn't know if I'd ever function the same again. She is the love of my life.

ETA: Work is still eating me alive, hence I'm not around much.

And yes. Illnesses such as dementia and Altzheimer's must be extra hard on the families.

This really is so awesome. It also reminds me of my husband after his thyroid removal surgery. No temporary amnesia, but the morphine drip made him so sentimental and sweet. Kept talking about our wedding and me in the wedding dress and stuff. The surgery was 6 years after our wedding too!
