Life is full of surprises!
Well, just in case the icon didn't tip you off, this is an 'Announcement Post'! Because I think babies are always a surprise! Especially when you weren't expecting them to appear! Which is my roundabout way of saying that I'm pregnant! :)
Once I got over the initial *headdesk* reaction (the children were just getting big enough to be fairly easy - no more nappies, no child locks everywhere, leaving the house wasn't an expedition, etc.), the squee! factor set in, and I'm all excited now. Especially since my husband has turned into super-caring-and-extra-considerate-husband. Imagine Spike if he got Buffy pregnant and you'll have a good idea. ;)
So if I've been sort of non-commenty lately, this is why. I have been reading my flist, but somehow just not had the energy to reply to all the interesting posts out there. Also I'm trying to get this fic written, and it takes a lot of time. Hopefully it'll be worth it! *crosses fingers*
(Oh, and I'm not sure my mood is actually 'indescribable', but I love the picture and it's not one I can use very often!)
ETA: Could anyone tell me how to add a banner to my layout?
buttersideup just made the most gorgeous 'Dead Things' banner (and wallpaper) and I suddenly feel like changing my layout. Thank you! :)
sweet_ali gave me a handy link - now I just need to sweet-talk husband into sorting it out for me!;)

Anyway, after all this death and sickness, it's nice to hear some good news.

And I meant to ask - did the song get to you? I didn't realise quite how big it was.

I'm an old goth who used to live with an old metaller, I'm used to overblown and operatic nonsense, so this wasn't that challenging. It's not bad, but I'm not sure I like his voice much.

Heeeeeeeee! LOL!!!
Well the 'singer' isn't really a singer - he's a musician, but I've never known him to do any singing... to explain - his name's Trondur Hansen, and we used to be class mates in primary school! Everyone knew he was really musically gifted (I saw him play the piano once in a children's concert, and he was just effortless!). He went on to study music and I think he composes full time now (will have to ask my mother).
See - this is the fun that comes from growing up in a small community. Having looked at the credits, the soprano was one of my fellow girl-scouts, and the drummer was one of my best childhood friends (who was always drumming!!!!).
Anyway, it struck me as very suitable for Crazy!Spike - all the fire and hell and hallucinations... (Hmm, I don't have a Crazy!Spike icon... but this one is quite suitable - and funny!)

Actually, I thought you might like The Rasmus (finnish band) - I could send you 'Guilty' which I'm also using for Spike (and NOT camp!)
