Birthday drabble.

A birthday drabble for jamalov29. She said that something set in s7 would be nice, and after a while, this is what I came up with. Spike's thoughts, somewhere around 'Potential'. (Sorry if I'm repeating what every other fic writer has ever written, but this was what my muse insisted on.)

I am a part of her life.

Now and again I repeat it to myself, to make sure I’m not dreaming.

I live in her basement. This is my home now.

Sometimes I can hear them argue about me. They say I’m a liability - I’m dangerous. And she defends me every time. Says she needs me. Says I’m important. Says I can be a good man.

And she looks after me. Cares about me. She can be so gentle.

I don’t know if she’ll ever love me, but it doesn’t matter.

She treats me like a man. And that’s enough.

have you found any such?! *squee* I have a hard time coming across any from the pre-spike days. :(
I looked through my folders, and lo and behold I had one! Look here. :) (See what I mean about being cute? I just want to pet him!)
