Torchwood, yeah! :D
From The Sunday Times listings:
Pick of the week: Torchwood
A former fixture of BBC2 and BBC3, the Doctor Who spin-off now materialises on Auntie's most popular channel. Written by Russel T. Davies (with John Fay and James Moran), this five-part story is well paced, tense and performed with chutzpah to spare. Shown on consecutive nights, it justifies the franchise's new prestige, with impressive explosions accompanying the Torchwood team's battle against an alien cabal and government assassins. Highlights to watch for include a splendid turn from Peter Capaldi as a civil servant, and an unexpectedly affecting joke about tracksuit bottoms.

::is impatient::
And for anyone who'd like to listen to the radio plays, you can find them here. I believe that should work even for people not in the UK. I rather liked them (esp since they got progressively better), and they obviously did a lot of bridging between the end of S2 and the start of S3, which I thought was neat.
Must run again, but (as predicted) I will probably be back tonight with fic... *crosses fingers*
