I painted today! For hours!!! buttersideup try not to faint! And I swear I'll finish this painting as soon as I can - I cannot believe I've been so slow! ::is pathetic::

For anyone wanting a laugh, I can recommend White Trash Christmas. Rather late I know, but still funny!

Heh, just kidding. :) You have good reasons for your slowness, though, so it's not pathetic. Just out of curiosity, about how much do you think you have left to do?

And speaking of slowness, I still haven't gotten around to putting your new fic up on the site yet. Guess I'd better get on that, hunh?

Only acrylics I'm afraid. I've never painted in oils and now (with small children) it's completely out. The only picture I have uploaded is this one, a watercolour I did for my mom. It shows her and Little Miss M baking. :)

I got SO much done, that if I can find another afternoon I might just get it finished! Although looking at the icon, I realise that it's a lot lighter than the screencap I've been working from. I could scan the picture if you like, and you can decided if you want to keep it dark, or if I should add the pretty colours?

Also thank you for the link, that's very handy. Oh - and I have been tagging my old entries (veeery slowly) and came across this 200-word drabble that I'd completely forgotten... Silence is Golden. If you could add that too? ::smooches::

Ohmigosh, elisi, that painting is wonderful! Seriously. Everything from the soft colors and subtle contrast between light and dark in Little Miss M's shirt to the raggedy edges and unusual composition. It's a gorgeous watercolour.

Oh man, I'd love to have half your talent. Don't look now, but I think I'm insanely jealous. ;-)

And I can't take credit for the composition, since I 'copied' it off a photo (it's actually Little Miss M and my mother. She (my mother) had asked for a watercolour for her birthday, so I thought something with a grandchild would be nice.).

But then you write way better than me (and you can write a really good Buffy too!), so I guess it goes both ways. ;)
