This and that...
So this morning I was reading an interview with Johnny Depp in The Sunday Times' Culture magazine. This was the first sentence:
If you happened to have Johnny Depp standing naked in front of you,
which made my mind glaze over completely, leaving only the thought that 'Now this is my kind of article!'
Sadly the follow-up wasn't what I hoped, but it was a good interview nevertheless. You can find it here if you're curious - I'll only quote my other favourite bit:
At first, however, top Disney executives were horrified by his portrayal [of Captain Jack Sparrow].
“Disney gave me such a hullabaloo about what I was doing with the character, the teeth, all the beads hanging and the dreadlocks,” recalls Depp, who had partly based his characterisation on the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards. “I would get these phone calls from upper echelons, team Disney, and it would be like, ‘Okay, okay, what are you doing with your hands? Is he drunk? Is he gay? What is he?’ From what I understand, Michael Eisner (the Disney chairman) hated it so much that the words actually came out of his mouth, ‘He’s ruining the film.’ Which really killed me, of course — it made me laugh. Bless him.”

Well, it's a place to go and thank the community for all the hard work of 2005. Plus at the same time we hope it will be come a really great archive for the coming year. So like a whole bunch of gift-giving for the holiday season. List your top 5 fics, icons, artwork, meta, videos, discussions, drabbles, WIPs etc etc
Starting December 15 posting opens for anything and everything fandom has created on the Buffyverse in 2005. Posting closes on January 31, 2006 though, so don't be shy.
Plus there's some nifty artwork and icons being/been devised.

And lastly, I'm going to go even deeper into lurker-dom, since I'm determined to get some writing done! I have written almost 3 pages, which isn't a lot, so if I'm ever going to post this thing before Christmas I'm going to have to be more focussed! I'll read my flist, but probably keep commenting to a minimum. *sigh* Why can't I survive on 4 hours sleep? That would solve everything! Anyway, I love you all, even though I'm so absent! ::hugs and kisses to all::
