New Who

There is no way I can keep up with all the new stuff that keeps being thrown at us - I was going to link to stuff, but there are now too many tabs. Mind you, I love this stage - those few weeks when everything is just on the cusp of starting, and we get trailers and teaser clips and promo images and stills and interviews and everything seems possible.

In Buffy terms, this would be when a certain section of fandom would say ‘THIS will be the year of Xander!’ They were always disappointed, and I suppose disappointment is almost inevitable, as everyone will be projecting their own hopes and wishes onto the new season, and it is quite simply not possible for anything to cater for everyone’s tastes. As someone who got pretty much EVERYTHING I wanted last season (S6) - and is still in shock - I am more than happy to sit back and just enjoy whatever we get. As long as it has the Doctor and Clara I'm good. :)

Anyway, Blogtor Who seems to have ALLLLLL the news, so go there if you want to know every last tidbit. (Personally I think I might take a step back - I'm loving it, but they always share a tiny bit too much for a committed spoilerphobe like me.)

Mind you, I've also started on some Clara-meta, which should hopefully see the light before the start of the new season! Mmmmmmm, mystery! ♥

Somebody somewhere said that Clara looks like CAL from Silence of the Library. The resemblance is uncanny!

Now THAT would be a cool story--CAL escapes from the Library and goes viral across all of time and space! Doing the one thing she never got to do--grow up.

I will bet anything you like that she's not CAL. Linked metaphorically, quite probably, but she's no more likely to be CAL than she is to be a regenerated Amy... ;)

Hmmm. I don't think they cast JLC because of her looks, or whom she resembles...

(I'm not saying that there won't be something that calls back to the Library. But it'll be to do with mythology & metaphors, not literally.)

Looking (eagerly!) forward to New Who! I like what they've done with Clara/ Oswin so far and I'm curious to see how they develop her story. I don't even really have a theory, and I've usually had theories for new who mysteries.

I always avoid spoileries and here lately I seem to be behind on EVERYTHING (damned Blahs), but I'm rather excited for the new season and now can't decide whether to watch the promos and get all excitable or wait until just before DW airs!! DECISIONS. DECISIONS!!
