Awww.

Merlin to cast final spell as creators reveal that current series will be the last.

I can see that it makes sense (and this season has been building things up a lot), but it'll be sad to lose our delightful Saturday entertainment. I'll miss them all. ♥

ETA: The girls were pretty philosophical. Impish Girl's comment (once she'd gotten over her 'They can't DO that!' - Miss M's reply 'Well, all good things must come to an end...') was:

"Grandad will be sad. He really likes Morgana. He said that she displayed all the finest qualities a woman can possess. He was going to send her a skateboard and a Kindle for Christmas..."

(My father-in-law is a little bit like a Yorkshire Jeremy Clarkson with a beard. Seriously, I can't explain how much I love my in-laws.)

I've only really started watching this year... It's sort of fluffy (if applied to a legend), but really lovely too. Ah well, it'll go out on a high.

Well he's both adorable and very prostemedious (this is his own invented word and I'm not entirely sure what it means), plus deliberately awkward when he wants to be (which is often). *g*

It took a while for the news to really sink in, I think, so Miss M had a delayed reaction. But I'm sure she'll be fine. ::pets her::

My inlaws are AWESOME. (Allison's family is loosely based on them, btw.)

And all good things must end. I'll miss the daftness.

I am a scarred, sad American who knows that the worst thing that can befall any show is to be on too long, so congratulations, Merlin! (Also, this is rather convenient, because I hate the moment when you finish mainlining a show and then have to decide if it's worth watching on an as-it-airs basis. It's never satisfying after that.)

And don't get stressed about fic - stress is awful, and people won't mind. You can turn them into Christmas fics maybe?
