Especially having the different Doctors watching [each other's battles].
I always love that trick when we see someone from the outside reacting or commenting on the situation, and then we realise it's all about the person we know (like the Dream Lord or "I wasn't talking about myself" quote). With the Doctor, you can use another incarnations for that effect - we can react like they're different people because the face is new but it's the same man. Even if I don't see it sometimes.

MATT SMITH: That's what interests me about The Doctor because, actually, look at the blood on the man's hands... Which is why I think he has to make silly jokes and wear a fez. Because if he didn't, he'd hang himself.
Has he really said that? I need to watch more interviews. I always had an impression that the Eleventh Doctor was supposed to be lighter than the previous one, and it's "sort of happened" that he's been even darker. Or as dark as the Tenth, just in a different way. I'd never thought Matt sees him like that.

@all the parts with killing - I love how the video shows killing is not simple. It's adressed in the show so often and looked at from different angles. Is killing to safe a life justified? Is killing a horrible person justified? If the Doctor would have killed from anger, whom does it make him? Is killing the Daleks and not regreting it (yes, that smirk!) right? "Fear me, I killed all of them" - he says it almost nonchalantly.
He doesn't carry a gun. He's deadly without it.

You might not believe me, but when I first watched this vid, I thought to myself 'I am so pleased that it was the Doctor who killed the Daleks in 'Asylum', rather than Amy, as it seemed when they released the trailer.
I haven't thought about that trailer much but I'm pretty sure in the first draft of Journey's End, Ten Two and Donna were supossed to destroy the Daleks together. I don't think it's something a companion should do.
