ETA2: Romney's main achievements: a) Getting everyone in the country to patriotically support the Olympics, and b) Making our politicians look good. (The first one would probably have happened anyway, but the second one is a friggin' miracle.)

I just CANNOT with Romney. HFHDASJKF. I want to be optimistic and say that I'm sure Obama will win again in November, but then I remember that my country voted Bush in twice. x_x

That's not to mention the thing about his dog being the top of his car for so many hours, and the thing with the overly-drugged up horse (back in 2008 IIRC). Both those things, and all these stories about his younger highschool and college days are making me nearly want to re-read up on the symptoms for sociopathy because jeeezus is he ever making some of my mental red flags raise.

I was completely flabbergasted and horrified!! I don't even LIKE the fucker and he's being all 'on the campaign trail Face of the States'?! FUCK NO. GODS...so GLAD HE GOT SPANKED!!

As for Michelle...she's a classy lady. I'm so happy she's our current First Lady.

Well, I've been thinking about it.

There are some people who are just *dumb* (say, Dubya and Sarah Palin), and you have a feeling that they're just puppets for others (Cheney, McCain). We love to make fun of them.

Then there are smart, awesome, cool people like Obama, that make our politicians look like the useless idiots they are.

And then there are those who are just jerks, like Mittens, that we can love to hate (and make fun of) and that make our politicians look good. Which is an ASTOUNDING achievement, because well... useless idiots. But - useless idiots who can snark and stuff.

So... thank you for the entertainment and for uniting the country?

That would be nice. All the comedians were rather sad when Dubya finally left. Obama is no good for making fun of, although we got a LOT of milage out of Sarah Palin for a while. ;)

I really don't get Mitt's appeal. I understood John McCain, and even W Bush but Mitt? The only thing I can guess is that it's because the republican candidates were such a weak crowd this time around. Rick Perry just seemed confused, and you know when Newt Gingrich (who didn't even seem to actually want to run) is a strong contender you're in trouble.
