I'm glad he received this. His stint as show-runner for Who may not be my favorite among his work, but he is a damn fine writer whose sense of timing and ability to bring a seemingly loose ends together much later into a finely woven web never cease to keep me in awe.
Love his plotting, but love his layers more. Need to watch more of his - have only seen DW, Sherlock & Jekyll. (Although Jekyll is Moffat cubed. Mmmmm. It's metaphor with a story inside. *g*)
Please tell me your awards show banter isn't usually that good, or I shall have to shoot myself. I don't think it is... I mean, I very rarely watch them. Although sometimes we have Steven Fry hosting...
I love the way the writer kept refering to him as Doctor Who instead of just 'the Doctor' but yes, an insightful and rather fannish article for the mainstream! Even loved the little reference to a coworker that hadn't seen past Ten's era (cause they loved Tennant so much) - very fannish, indeed, lol!

The New Yorker wrote about Community and DW as fannish shows and it's actually kinda beautiful <3
