So, this morning Impish Girl (10, almost 11), discovered that LJ has custom user heads. The conversation went something like this:

Impish Girl: Oh that's BRILLIANT! And there's the Doctor. And there's one with a top hat! And a PIRATE! That's the most awesome thing EVER! Mum, you have to get one.
Me: Um, I'm quite happy with what I've got.
Impish Girl (boggles): So you want to be boring and just the same as everyone else when you could be different?

And as I didn't want her head to implode from this impossibility, I got a custom user head. They didn't have a River-y one, or one with a white hat (I have an awesome wide-brimmed white summer hat), so I went with one that looked vaguely like me.

(Weather is still gorgeous and I'm procrastinating... )

ETA: OH! I knew I was forgetting something! William Shatner was the HIGNFY host last night. WATCH IT!

Thank you. It's... really quite a lot like me, in that I've got long brown hair, usually in a side parting.

And I am v. jealous of you watching Shatner live - even on TV he's ~fabulous!

William Shatner is AWESOME. Not quite as awesome as Brian Blessed, but certainly in the Top 5.
