Seriously, if they don't get together every Doctor & Companion still alive, I'd be very disappointed. I'm counting on Moffat's more-is-more approach being utilised to the max!
I actually see Ace being a little bit cool on the River subject at first. As in, "Who are you, and what are you doing draping yourself all over my Professor and making me realize that my honorary parent might have thoughts along Those Lines, and you keep saying 'Spoilers' and I have enough Time Lord types who won't tell me things in my life, thank you, and . . . explosives? Yeah, sure, I use . . . ooh, that's a great idea! Actually, what we really need for this is some sort of blasting cap to give the Nitro an extra oomph—you have high-explosive eyeliner?
. . . If I had your Time-headed babies, would that mess up your marriage?"
I actually see Ace being a little bit cool on the River subject at first. Oh I'm sure. Although River is quite good at not being in the Doctor's face if he doesn't know her yet.
I've heard that McGann wouldn't mind so long as he gets to wear his hair short. Actually, I'd love to see Eleven cope with immediately post-time-War Eight; it would involve piles of angst, but with that edge of hope that yes, he can get up and go on and become the Doctor again. I mean, yes, it's part of my headcanon that Eight regenerated upon sealing the Time Lords away, and then crashed in the Brig's garden (TARDIS's idea, naturally) and got nursed back to semi-sanity there, but I'd be willing to give that up if Moffat can come up with something suitably awesome.
You have just made my night! Because the two Doctors (if I had to pick two) I would love to see in the anniversary are Eleven and Eight. Eight deserves more TV time. And if Eight isn't post-Time War, ooh, that'll be interesting to see as well.
Eight and Grace are the best parts. Everything else is just… painful. (And I actually half-like the movie, so…) It's too American and nonsensical even for Who, and I'll leave it at that.

As far as I know, she's in one of this year's eps, but I don't know which one or... anything, really. Maybe I heard wrong. (Spoiler phobe here, I generally avoid stuff.)
I can't IMAGINE that she won't appear during the anniversary episodes. I mean, that's unpossible! She's RIVER SONG. (Besides, she has pictures of ALL his faces...)
I'm trying to keep away from any specific spoilers, but this long wait is very aggravating! lol. If she is only in one episode, I hope it's one where it's just her and the doctor on an adventure together. That's my wish for Moff Santa.

And, if in the end it can be implied that they go back to the TARDIS and have hot, zany, acrobatic sex, then I'll never ask for anything for Christmas again.
Oh I think that part's canon through and through! She's quite the screamer, after all... *neverending glee* (Also see this! No spoilers, just brilliance.)
I have never seen any of Six, but from what I've heard it'd be interesting indeed.
They could have a smug-a-thon! They could solve the world's smugness shortage for a generation! It would be epic! (Ahh, Six—I like Six, honestly I do, but he's best when counterbalanced by someone who knows when he's full of it—so, honestly, River would be fairly good for him.)
I read a story (by sahiya, maybe?) that had River meeting Nine right after the Time War and helping put him back together, before (as she had to) making sure he wouldn't have any conscious memory of it. His initial reaction, IIRC, was pretty much, "Get the hell away from me." Good, poignant story.

I decree that a smug-a-thon MUST happen. And it'd be even better because Six would think that he'd have a chance of winning, and Eleven would be in the background shaking his head in embarrassment...

If you hadn't read it, I would have tracked it down to rec for you, because I agree with you, it was really good.

And then Ace blows up ALL THE DALEKS.

We should send this to the Moff. Just in case he's out of ideas. (Seriously though, 4 + 11 would be The Craziest Thing Ever. *pines*)

Er. Not to push my own stuff, or anything, but . . . yeah, in my head that's kind of what happened.

And oh, River and Nine. I think his initial reaction would be worse than Ten's...
