Pointless rambling and a request

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] deborahmm's latest post, I thought I'd post about a tiny something I noticed a while ago. Cut because of pointlessness:

Well, here's a fun little piece of nonsense (depending upon your sense of humour of course). I was musing upon the fact that Wesley was stabbed, and the poetic justice of it, since that was what he had done to Gunn. Then my mind wandered to other finales (finals?), and I came up with a list of Buffy-finale-stabbings:

S.2 Buffy stabs Angel
S.3 Buffy stabs Faith (two-parter, so does count)
S.5 Doc stabs Spike
S.7 Turok-Han stabs Buffy

Now the interesting thing about this is, that none of these were fatal (Angel didn't die, he just went to hell). Can anyone think of stabbings for S.1 (Prophecy Girl), S.4 (Restless) or S.6 (Grave)? I've tried, but so far I've drawn blanks.

Now onto my request: I would like a beta-reader. This writing-thing is obviously not going away, so I'd like to have someone for looking stuff over, 'cause I always seem to miss something! I would prefer someone in the UK - partly because of spelling and partly because of timezones. Answers on the back of a postcard please! ;)

Hmm...Buffy also gets stabbed with a stake in S5. And I'm not sure if Adam skewering Professor Walsh counts as a stabbing. Faith's dream in S4 goes back to Graduation Day, so I'm not sure if it counts either. And Buffy stabs Anya in S7. I'm still drawing a blank on any S1 or S6 stabbings though.

Violents a bit of an understatement. :) Sorry, for some reason I spaced out on the season finale's only part.

S4 - Sineya repeatedly stabs at Buffy with a stake in "Restless", although she doesn't actually make contact.

And in S6 Buffy and Dawn stab those zombie things that attack them in the grave.

S1 - well, the Master gets impaled, but it's not really a stabbing.

I think Adam also stabs Riley in S4, in or around "Goodbye Iowa." S6 was more about the harsh beatings. Very little stabbing that year.

On Angel, on the other hand, I think everybody but Fred got stabbed at least once.

I think that besides Wesley, the closest thing to a stabbing is when Angel cuts Lindsey's hand off in "To Shanshu in LA." (I think it happens in that episode, not the one before it?) That's really more of a slicing than a stabbing, though.

I don't mind doing the betaing. I've got a lot of projects going on at the moment, but I could try and squeeze you in.

Use both of us. It's always good to have a second opinion. I have 3 betas! If one is busy, then I can usually rely on the others.

Up to you. :)

I see Bogwitch has already offered but if you need a back up beta to proof-read I could probably offer a hand. Punctuation isn't my best thing *g* but I can usually spot a typo if that's what you want?

[livejournal.com profile] bogwitch took the words out of my mouth (or whatever the writing equivalent is *g*). We're bound to notice different things.

My email address is Kdewhunter @ aol.com for when you need it.

There probably was some kind of stabbing in "Restless" - though it undoubtedly was metaphorical. *grins*
Sounds like we'll just have to go back and watch those episodes again, doesn't it?

Of course, no problem!
she gave me lots of lovely feedback!)
Just as I guessed, then! :)
