3 Doctor/River vids found on youtube that I need to share.
(Spoilers up to & including Let's Kill Hitler.)
1. The 'This is perfect for them' one:
#1 Crush! \o/ Especially love that it changes POV, so some parts belong to River and some to the Doctor. (Particularly pleased that 'I will crawl on hands and knees until you see/you're just like me' is given to the Doctor.)
2. The 'Oh my HEART!' one:
Running Up That Hill. The editing is gorgeous, and exquisitely heartbreaking. (And if I only could/Make a deal with God/And get him to swap our places...)
3. The 'Ha! That's brilliant!' one:
That don't impress me much. Just delightful. :)

And I've been wanting a vid to #1 Crush for AGES! It's such a perfect song because it's so dark - the edge of obsession it's tinged with works beautifully, because Doctor/River has those giant swathes of 'Seriously, this is NOT a healthy way to have a relationship', and yet it's the thing that makes it work. They would never be able to have 'normal' relationship.

Mmmmmm. (It's not about ~love~ as such, but about acknowledgment, if that makes sense? I mean, of course it's about love, but River is hurt when he doesn't trust her, more than anything else.)

*waves vaguely at LJ* It's sort of... Everywhere? Basically though, River's sacrifice - amongst other things - makes her infinitely trustworthy. The Doctor *knows* he can trust her - and he does (I'll get back to this). OK, so there's some friction in the Angel episodes, but on the whole the baseline for their whole relationship is that they trust each other - otherwise it'd all fall apart. Now TWoRS is the flipside - the Doctor expects River to trust him to have a way out, but she doesn't. The whole things hinges around him proving his trust in her, the same way she did in the Library - and from then on she does. And it's that trust which is vital. Even when they are FURIOUS with each other, there is still trust. (And we see in LKH how he can't not trust her.)

Oh yes. Did you see My post of fic snippets? I have a LOVELY fic wherein the Master returns - and he and River do NOT get along, to say the least. :) (Love that icon. ♥)

Do you know if someone has done this? (ETA: I may have asked you this before... sorry if it's a repeat question! If I had any ability to vid I would totally make this vid. Alas, I do not...)
