Welfare Reform Bill prompts protest in London.
Activists and disability campaign groups are staging a demonstration in opposition to the government's welfare proposals.
Campaigners say the changes in the Welfare Reform Bill would see half a million people lose their benefits.
Press release here and pictures here.
And on Twitter.
(Wouldn't it be nice to have a government that cared?)

Probably a good point there.
The 18 year olds, I guess, voted for Nick Clegg, and have now been put off politics for good.
Guilty as charged and disappointed as predicted.Stupid coalition.
Amen.

That said, my family have been Lib Dem voters my whole life, and I certainly wasn't going to vote Tory or Labour since both had previously proved to be groups of assholes - and still are. I'm a LD party member and I'm frankly disgusted with Clegg, don't even get me started on this bullshit. *sighs again*
Also another disabled person being hit by these bastard cuts. The NHS ones have already kicked me in the teeth by forcing the closure of my local hydrotherapy pool, when hydro is the only form of treatment that has proved helpful for me in 25 years, with the exception of painkillers - and those I keep having to increase, I'm already on morphine. (I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.)
